New clarification added: In the EOI_2021_25240-Suppliers of Assorted Security and CIED Equipment Companies the deadline twice is stated as 29 August 2021 while on esourcing.unops.org the deadline is 31 August 2021. Please confirm correct deadline date.Please use the Esourcing deadline which is 31st August 2021.

New clarification added: In the document Expression of Interest Procurement Event 12615- Supply of Supply of Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (CIED) Equipment to UNOPS Somalia;Is it required to fill out column F to J? If yes please clarify the following questions: -YES Are the prices indicative?- Yes the pricces are indicative, because after this EOI we will issue RFQs to shorlisted companies. are the prices FCA or CPT.- The Prices are be FCA.

New clarification added: Will the different categories of equipment be divided into lots in the actual tender phase, or shall we bid on all item categories?AnswerThis will be established and decided after the close and analysis of the EOI. Bidders will be advised accordingly.

New clarification added: We would like to enquire the reason for not using the existing LTA agreement (UNOPS LTA/ITB/2018/4702, Disruptor) for Recoilless disarmer and disrupters?AnswerThis requirement covers a wide range of security eqiupment I different categories. The purpose of the EOI is to also to help in planning and budgeting purposes.

New clarification added: Will partial bids (only 3 of the 8 items be acceptable)? I have read the Tender General Information and Tender Particulars and coud not find any mention of partial Bids.Yes Partial bids will be acceptable.

New clarification added: Can a provider propose an equivalent product?Yes- you can propose an equivalent product. Is this an "All or None" Bid or will you purchase items from the lowest compliant bidders?The purpose of this EOI is to establish a shortlist for tenders which we will advertising in the near future, for now we are assessing the market for planning purposes and to know whether the items in the market fit our requirement. The reason for the requesting the price, is for budget allocation purposes. Thank you

New clarification added: our requirement is a "Request for Expression of Interest".However it appears this will also form the basis of a "Bid Submission process" as you are requiring detailed prices, delivery information, supporting data sheets etc, with an evaluatiion and an award being made - Is this correct - will purchase orders be placed on the basis of the information submitted?Answer- The basis of this EOI is to know the players in the market, help in planning purposes in terms of budget, delivery timelines etc to help plan our activities. The bidders that will qualify in this EOI will form a shortlist and will be invited for tenders in this category.There is reference to specific manufacturer/model of equipment being required - will technically equivalent/compliant products be acceptable?Yes- Technically equivalent /compliant items will be acceptable, and that is the aim of this EOI, to know what is available in the market and the data sheets is to confirm the items will suit our needs. In view of the number of different line items requested, the dead;ine for clarifications and bid close date is very short and we request these are extended by seven days to 29/09/2021 and 06/09/2021 respectively to enable UNOPS to receive fullest information for their evaluation process.This EOI has been Issued under Emergency Procurement hence the timelines provided. Closing date is 31st August 2021. Whilst we understand the requirements are urgent for UNOPS, please appreciate for many companies their staff are still working remotely because of Covid 19 regulations/conditions and there is a resultant lag in obtaining responses for necessary finanacial, commercial and techncial information, including indicative rates for shipping the goods to Mogadishu.You can provided estimated timelines as we understand given the covid situation, the freight is bound to change from time to time.
