Access to morphine: Market analysis and stakeholder survey
Access to morphine for medical use is severely limited or non-existent in many countries, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. There is limited data on the availability of morphine products at the health service level. Furthermore, there is a need a better understand existing barriers and enables to access, including the role of the supply chain and market organization. As part of a broader initiative to increase existing knowledge, and to prioritize actions on improving access to morphine for pain management, WHO is seeking to engage a contractor to conduct desktop research and an analysis on the global and local markets for the provision of morphine products for medical use, and to support the planning, implementation and analysis of a stakeholder survey.
