The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for provision of technical assistance for the identification of technical practices for climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in Indonesia United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on behalf of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) requires the services of an institution to deliver the technical assistance. The overall objective of this technical assistance is to identify and design CSA technologies and associated system for enhancing climate change adaptation in agriculture sector in Indonesia. Some of the expected outcome, outputs and activities are; • Map stakeholders and organize an inception meeting. • Identify technologies for the use of sensors that are able to identify water content and soil chemistry on agricultural land • Identify technologies for automatic irrigation and fertilizer application and design fully integrated system for the suitable conditions as per the geographic location selected • Analyse market potential and cost-benefit of the fully integrated system. • Train governmental bodies in the CSA practices and the fully integrated system The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed.
