The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for provision of technical assistance for updating Georgia’s technology needs assessment through development of a technology road maps for prioritized technologies United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on behalf of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) requires the services of an institution to deliver the technical assistance. The Technical assistance is approved now and will assist the Government of Georgia to update its Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) and develop a technology roadmap for prioritized technologies to address climate change challenges in the most critical sectors of the economy. this will be done through; 1)Establishing a National TNA Committee 2)Developing a TNA work plan 3)Completing a policy assessment informing the Pre-selection of sectors for the fulfilment of Georgia’s TNA 4)Validating stakeholder engagement and Pre-selecting sectors so to inform Georgia’s TNA 5) Validating, Prioritising and assessing the feasibility of key technologies for the fulfilment of Georgia’s TNA 6)Developing sectoral Technology Action Plan(TAPs) 7)Developing a financial mobilization strategy for the climate mitigation and adaptation sectors through business model skills transfer 8)Developing GCF Concept notes based on the project ideas identified in the TAP 9)Delivering a National Consultation exercise to ensure national ownership, technology deployment and validation 10)Implementing a Technology Action Plan (TAP) via Capacity building Supports The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed.
