1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the Provision the services for the Design, Supply, Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Waste Water Treatment Plant of 200 KLD Capacity based on Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology at UNAMI headquarter in Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq, in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, scope of works, general conditions and other related documents. 2.0 The Contractor shall complete the following mentioned works in accordance with the details listed in the SOW and Bill of Quantities (BOQ): - The company shall provide all personnel, management, manpower, equipment, tools, materials and other resources for Design, Supply, Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Waste Water Treatment Plant of 200 KLD Capacity based on Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) consists of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works. - The company shall provide the design, drawings with calculations for the associated Civil, Mechanical and Electrical installations and equipment’s. - All effluent treatment parameters for the specified Waste water treatment Plant and components shall comply with WHO standard and Iraqi Ministry of Environmental Code. - Treatment system shall be based on Sequential Batch Reactor Technology based on sequential biological treatment followed by activated carbon and chlorination. - The waste water treatment scheme shall consist of four stages. 1. Primary treatment 2. Secondary or Biological treatment aeration tank 3. Tertiary treatment Activated Caron Filters and Chlorine Dosing System 4. Sludge Treatment and Filter Press - Parameters required for the WWTP design are as follows: o Flow capacity - 200 m3 /day o Processes Type – Aeration o Flow Regime - Completely Mixed o MLSS – 6000 – 10000 mg/lit o MLVSS/MLSS -0.8 o F/M Ratio - 0.1- 0.12 - Parameters required for the characteristics of the treated waste water from WWTP are as follows: o pH 6.5 – 8.5 o BOD less than 10 mg/l o COD less than 30 mg/l o Suspended Solid less than 10 mg/l o Oil and Grease less than 1 mg/l 2.1 General Requirements: Mobilization and Demobilization, Temporary Facilities, Security Access, Workers Badges, etc. 2.2 Capability to execute Refurbishment projects in Baghdad (Green Zone), obtain security clearance and organize escort for personnel, equipment, tools and materials to and from Green Zone without UNAMI assistance. 3.0 The works include the supply of all materials, fixtures, fittings, equipment and labour necessary for the completion of the services required. After a complete site investigation, the invited Companies are requested to submit a fixed price proposal for the services and spare parts in accordance with the SOW. 4.0 It is Mandatory that Proposers shall visit UNAMI sites prior to the submission of their proposal in order to thoroughly familarize themselves with the location, operating conditions and specific requirements. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Works (SOW), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Design Drawings, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for this tender. 6.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI's requirement. 7.0 In addition, the interested companies are requested to complete their registration at Level 1 on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). 8.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
