Description

UNICEF is responding to the needs of children as part of the COVID-19 emergency response.  Children that have been cut off from services and institutions they rely on for their development are at risk of experiencing exacerbated impacts of the COVID-19 disease.  As such UNICEF is working to curate an online app catalogue where parents, children, frontline workers, NGOs, and governments can find apps that have been through a competitive UNICEF review process and provide a digital solution to challenges caused or increased by COVID-19, be that directly or indirectly, including access to and engagement in health and social services.

UNICEF is requesting Expressions of Interest from developers that own and operate eligible apps to understand the level of interest from app developers in being included in such a catalogue, to better understand the types of apps available to address different needs due to the direct or indirect impact of COVID-19, and to inform the evolving selection criteria for the subsequent steps in the project, which will be a competitive evaluation of apps.

Apps that would be eligible should be currently available in the Google Play or Apple stores. Interested suppliers should read the full REOI at the document below and return the Expression of Interest form on or before 19th June 2020. It is possible to include multiple apps on the same form if your company owns and operates more than one app which could be suitable for inclusion in a UNICEF COVID-19 App Catalogue. Its is not necessary to register on UNGM at this stage - simply download the form below and send via email.
