Description

The Learning and Development (L&D) team within the Human Resources section at the International Trade Centre (ITC) is looking for a provider to support the production of educational videos and manuals. The ITC employees will use these educational materials to increase their level of competence in doing daily tasks.

Following the “ONE-ITC Sustainable Growth” initiative, in 2019 a bespoke programme called Bundle Training introduced the idea of a modular learning plan, delivered in a classroom format over one week, where each module is an ITC internal process taught by an ITC Subject Matter Expert (SME). The participants were able to tailor their learning experience by selecting only those modules that were relevant to their area of work or those where they were lacking knowledge / needed support. The programme’s intended impact was staff members benefiting from increased competence in using internal processes, policies and tools. The outcome of the Bundle Training was an improved enabling environment for job performance, increased accountability & delivery, and increased knowledge that will support better planning.

Following the feedback from the sessions, a few Modules can now be converted into video-tutorials, videos & manuals. The staff members can benefit from these when there is a simple task to execute – a simple description of a process, tool or policy and the intervention of a classroom trainer is not required.

The objective of this tender is to select a contractor to design, develop and deliver educational videos and documents, in English and French, for the International Trade Centre (ITC), over the next three years, starting in 2020. During the first year, the contractor will deliver up to 50 video-tutorials / videos / manuals, and possibly more over the following years. All video-tutorials will be in SCORM format and all manuals will be in Microsoft Word format.

The manuals and the video-tutorials will be published on the ITC LMS (Cornerstone) called the L&D Hub, and these will be readily available to our employees on their computers or mobile devices, online and offline.

Some of these materials will be used in the Induction Programme as well.

As such, the contractor will be expected to deliver the following tasks:

Task 1:   Design the concept of a series of educational videos and manuals.

Task 2:   Develop the tutorials (videos, documents) using the most efficient techniques.

Task 3:   Create the tutorials by using specific software (the manuals to be in Microsoft Word format and the video-tutorials in SCORM format) and deliver to ITC.
