argeted conservation, cultural landscape improvements, and capacity development activities aligned with the Master Plan of the Bayon Temple Complex and ICC-Angkor/Sambor Prei Kuk recommendations: 

  • Output 1-Conservation Activities: Technical support for the protection of rainwater infiltration and maintenance-primary structure, secondary chapels and basement; conservation and restoration support of Northeast and Northwest area of third terrace; bas‑relief conservation at the Inner Gallery including feasibility study, technical policy and action plan; model restoration at Towers 25–26 (waterproofing, cleaning, consolidation); emergency treatment in other areas; monitoring surveys; 2027 planning for bas-reliefs conservation; and full APSARA staff participation for technology transfer.  

  • Output 2-Cultural Landscape & Stone Conservation: Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and topographic surveys to guide cultural landscape improvement; technical support to APSARA National Authority for documentation, conservation, and step-by-step data transfer on scattered stones; landscape improvement at Northeast Corner Pavilion (Tower 69) including paving, drainage, consolidation, and preparatory work for re-opening. 

  • Output 3-Research, Training & Knowledge Transfer: At least two workshop trainings for the APSARA National Authority’s staff (bas-relief conservation, microbiology); one outreach workshop for students; strengthening the UNESCO/JASA lab (equipment, protocols) and step-by-step transfer of JSA/JASA data & artefact documentation to the APSARA National Authority to support long term autonomous conservation.
