The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office for Iraq invites qualified national and international construction companies to submit sealed bids for the Rehabilitation of the Al Sayyab House in Jaykur, Abu Khaseeb (Basra), into a Cultural Center.

The scope of work includes the full restoration, structural rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse of a historic building, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and landscaping works, to transform it into a functional cultural center. The works will be carried out in full compliance with international standards for heritage conservation, safety, and quality control.

A mandatory site visit will take place at the project site in Abu Khaseeb, Basra, on 23 November 2025, followed by a virtual clarification meeting on 26 November 2025.

Interested bidders are required to meet the minimum qualification criteria specified in the ITB, including demonstrated experience in similar restoration or rehabilitation projects, technical and financial capacity, and availability of qualified personnel and equipment.
