iClimateAction WP3 - Technical Assessment for Global Heat Resilience Service Feasibility Study

This project, carried out under the EU-funded iClimateAction initiative, aims to strengthen the way climate data is coordinated, standardized and transformed into usable information across GEO, WMO and GCOS. As part of Work Package 3, the project focuses on demonstrating how Essential Climate Variables can support real-world applications, with a particular emphasis on urban heat resilience. This work contributes directly to the development of a future Global Heat Resilience Service, which will provide cities worldwide with actionable insights to better understand and manage extreme heat risks. Through this RFP, WMO seeks a consultant to conduct a technical assessment of existing heat-risk methodologies and implementation frameworks, forming the scientific and methodological foundation for scaling this service from pilot activities to a global operational initiative.
