Group Medical Insurance Services

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome, Italy, hereby solicits proposals for the Provision of Group Medical Insurance Services. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which is a Specialized Agency of the United Nations, whose mandate is to finance agricultural development projects primarily for food production in the developing countries (www.ifad.org) (referred to as “the Policyholder” hereafter) is initiating this Request for Proposal IFAD/2024/009/RFP with the aim of awarding one Group Medical Insurance contract for the following three categories: 1. The Basic Medical Insurance Plan / Major Medical Benefits Plan (BMIP/MMBP), worldwide plan covering active staff members in the International Professional and above categories serving in all duty stations and General Service category based in Rome HQ, retirees and their eligible dependents. 2. The Medical Insurance Plan, (MIP), a local plan covering locally-recruited National Officers and locally-recruited national General Service staff members serving in IFAD Regional and Country Offices, retirees and their eligible dependents. 3. The Medical Insurance for Consultants, Short-Term Staff and Interns Plan, (MICS), a worldwide plan covering consultants, staff members on short-term contracts and interns.
