Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Provision of a comprehensive services for the economic empowerment of women.

The proposed assignment will support 1,300 women from vulnerable and excluded groups for their inclusion in rural industry value chains and greater access to markets. The target value chains include, but not limited to, agro-based production, food processing, handicrafts, and/or small-scale garment manufacturing. The assignment specifically contributes to the project in making the following changes/progress which are critical for women’s economic empowerment (dimensions of change for WEE):

• Improve financial independence of the 1,300 project participants (e.g. increase in income, control and decision-making over the use of own income, etc.);
• Increase the project participants’ entry and progress in the selected value chains;
• Increase the project participants’ access to markets;
• Increase knowledge and awareness of the project participants on their rights, legal entitlements and responsibilities, focusing gender equality and social inclusion;
• Strengthen voice and agency of the project participants at their home and communities through the development of their individual and collective leadership; and
• Engage members of families and communities to create an enabling environment for WEE.
