Civil Works for Retrofitting of UN Women New Office Space at Maitighar, Kathmandu, Nepal

1.Scope of work:

The Contractor is required to perform/execute construction of civil works in Maitighar, Kathmandu, Nepal (as per below table), according to the Bill of Quantities, Drawings and Technical Specifications.

The Contractor shall implement the work based on a detailed work plan which shall be approved by UN Women. The Contractor is expected to produce/perform works which conforms in quality/quantity and accuracy of detailed specification. The Contractor is to institute a quality control system to ensure adequate monitoring of the works progress at all times.

2.TERMS OF DELIVERY:

The construction works to be executed are to be completed within one and half (1.5) months from the date of the notice to commence.

Quotation Submission Detail:

The quotations must be securely sealed or in case of electronic submission submitted to registry.nepal@unwomen.org in accordance with the below instructions on or before 29/08/2014 at 17:30 (UN Women Kathmandu, Nepal), local time (for local time ref, see www.greenwichmeantime.com). Any quotation received after this date and time will be rejected.

2. E-mail Submission:  Your quotation (in PDF format, free from any form of virus or corrupted contents) must be signed and stamped in all relevant places and submitted to UN Women secure e-mail addresses registry.nepal@unwomen.org with clear subject line as “UN Women Civil Works for Retrofitting”

The contract shall be for the whole works described in scope of works based on the priced Bill of Quantities submitted by the Contractor.  The Contractor shall fill in rates and prices for all items of the works in Nepali Rupees.  Items for which no rate or price is entered shall be deemed covered by the other rates and prices in the Bill of Quantities and shall not be paid by the Employer.

All duties, taxes and other levies payable by the contractor under the contract shall be included in the rates, prices and total Bid Price submitted by the Bidder.

Contractor’s Eligibility Requirement:

1. Registration Certificate
2. Business Registration Licence
3. VAT and PAN Registration Certificates
4. Tax Clearance Certificate or

       Submissions of Tax Returns

5. A written declaration made by the Bidder stating that the Bidder is not ineligible to participate in the Bid; has no conflict of interest in the proposed bid procurement proceedings and has not been punished for the profession or businesses related offence.
