Supply and delivery of Seed Laboratory and Plant Protection & Animal Health Laboratory Equipment for the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR)

New amendment added #1: For this ITB, The following amendment is doneI. Under the General part of the ITBThe deadline of submission is amended to 2019-07-01- 06:00 UTCII. Under the document tab and in the ITB- section II - schedule of requirement section of the ITB1. For item no. 14 - Refrigerator/Freezer - The Refrigerator temperature range should be 2 to 8 oc - The freezer temperature should be -20 to -40 oc2. For item no. 11 Item - Autoclave (Vertical)- The Phrase '' Horizontal loading" should be omitted from the 3rd line of the detail description under '' UNOPS minimum technical requirement''.3. For item No.9- Bench-top Centrifuge OR Tabletop Centrifuge - Max Speed of the Laboratory Centrifuge should be 2800 rpm. 

New clarification added: Dear Supplier, Kindly find your clarification request and UNOPS response below.Regarding the ITB/2019/9926, there is a misspelling unit  in the technical specification, II) Plant Protection and Animal Health Laboratory Equipment, Item 9 Bench-top Centrifuge” OR “ Table-top Centrifuge, one of description is: "Max Speed of the Laboratory Centrifuge: 2800xg", we think it should be 2800rpm, please kindly to clarify, thank you!UNOPS Response: The unit of Max Speed of the Laboratory Centrifuge indicated as xg is a typo error. It is 2800 rpm. We will amend the requirement accordingly.UNOPS Procurement Team . 

New clarification added: Dear Supplier,Kindly find your clarification request and UNOPS response belowRegarding Item 7 real time PCR, in the specs, there is a requirement of IVD-CE certification for in vitro diagnostic , our real time PCR is not in-vitro certified. Please advise if non-IVD certified systems are also acceptable.UNOPS Response: IVD-CE certification is required for this item. UNOPS Procurement Unit

New clarification added: Dear Supplier, UNOPS Response:Dear Supplier, Kindly find our response below for your clarification request 1) ITEM 3 - Incubator      - Do you require Humidity Control for the incubator? UNOPS Response: On the requirement a Humidity range: 20-95% is indicated that means Humidity control is required with the mentioned range 2) ITEM 9 - Bench-top Centrifuge” OR “ Table-top Centrifuge    - Please kindly confirm the Max speed of the Centrifuge in rpm UNOPS Response: On the requirement, the Maximum speed of centrifuge is indicates with wrong unit as 2800xg but is is to mean 2800 rpm. An amendment on this will be done accordingly. ​UNOPS Procurement Team.   

New clarification added: Dear Supplier, Kindly find our response for your clarification request 1) ITEM 11 - Please confirm this item is a Vertical Loading Autoclave and not a Horizontal indicated in point 3 of the spcifications. UNOPS Response: Kindly note that the requested item is a vertical autoclave. The '' Horizontal’’ indicated in point 3 is a typo and should be removed. An amendment on the requirement will be done and be notified to all bidders. ​2) ITEM 14 - Please confirm the minimum temperature for the freezer compartment, combination Fridge/Freezers do not typically have the requested -80ºC freezer compartment. UNOPS response:  UNOPS technical person has reviewed it again and observed that there is an error in the specification given for this item. New clarification added: Dear Supplier, Kindly find our response to your clarification request concerning Item no.4- Cooling capacity in (BTU)UNOPS Respone: We have alredy indicated the cooling capacity using tonnage  by stating “2 ton and above capacity”- Since 1 TON= 12000 BTU, the coolig capcity indicated is 2 tone , which means 24000 BTU- How many splits per each external engineUNOPS Response: There is no need to mention this; split Type or system describes it- Should it be "heat pump system"?UNOPS Response:  There is no need to mention this as well; split system describes it- You refer to a range of 10 to 50 °C. Is it the operational range in which the system must work intended as external temperature? New clarification added: Dear Client,Please kindly confirm if partial bidding is allowedThanksUNOPS Response Dear Supplier,AS it is clearly stated under the particular, part of the ITB, Partial bid in the sense that quoting for only one, only two or more of items for all the given quantities per item is allowed as evaluation and ward will done for each item . However kindly note that, you cannot quote for partial quantities of items. For Example –  For item No. 1- Seed Germination Chamber – qty – 19, You can submit your bid only for this item but your offer must be given for qty 19. You can’t quote for 18 or less quantities for this item ( I.e, partial bidding in this sense ( for less quantity) is not allowed.  UNOPS procurement Team
