The Sub-Regional for Central Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (SRO-CA/ECA) solicits the services of qualified Contractor/s to construct a site for its newly acquired two (02) generators of 150 KVA each, and one (01) control panel for the synchronization of the two generators, the upgrading of the electrical utility feeder line cabling, and the installation of a lightning rod. More specifically, the project aims at: - Building sites to accommodate 2 generators of 150 KVA each - Constructing a firewall for the protection of generators - Building a room to house the diesel tanks that will feed the generators - Building a control room for the generators - Supplying and installing of electrical cabinets including the general low voltage switchboard (TGBT) - Installing 2 petrol tanks of 1500 liters each as well as the filling device and the diesel and electricity pipes for the generators - Installing a lightning rod with a starting device - Updating the electrical system of ECA as well as the installing all cabling and lighting systems - Establishing a fire safety system for the generators and electrical cabinets, connected to the existing system at SRO-CA/ECA. The successful contractor/s shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the proper execution of the project. Pre-qualification of firms responding to this EOI will be conducted by evaluating them according to the criteria summarized below: - Successful completion of comparable projects (at least 3) (generators’ site, firewall, tank installation, lightning rod installation, electrical utility feeder upgrading); - Size and reputation of contracting firm/consortium (feedback from contact persons of previous referenced project); - The bidder must have an established office in Yaounde. Technical specifications and Bills of Quantities as well as drawing reflecting the required work will be issued with the Solicitation document at the time of issuance of the solicitation document. Short-listed and eligible firms that passed the pre-qualification stage will be invited to participate in the above tender in a form of a Request for Proposal (RFP). UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a firm that is not fully registered with the United Nations.
