REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR: FABRICATION AND SUPPLY OF STRUCTURAL STEEL JETTY COMPONENTS FOR HOBYO FISHING JETTY.

1. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

United Nations World Food Programme, Somalia (UNWFP) hereby seeks to pre-qualify service providers with reliable experience and capacity for the Fabrication and Supply of Structural Steel Jetty Components for Hobyo Fishing Jetty Project. Reputable firms are encouraged to fill in the attached supplier registration form, which can also be requested by e-mail from Somalia.Procurement@wfp.org or obtained it from WFP Area Office in Galkayo, Bossaso, Garowe or at the Liaison Office on UN Crescent, Off UN Avenue, Gigiri Nairobi.

It is anticipated that the UNWFP will be issuing a tender for the Fabrication and Supply of Structural Steel Jetty Components for Hobyo Fishing Jetty Project. Therefore, only eligible firms, who meet all of the pre-qualification criteria in this EOI, may be invited to participate in the subsequent tender. The tender invitation will be open to firms that are able to provide the services described above.

No Commitment: This EOI does not contain a contractual offer of any kind. Any Proposal submitted will be regarded solely as a Proposal and not as an acceptance by the Proposer to any offer made by WFP. No contractual relationship will exist except pursuant to an AGREEMENT signed by WFP and the selected Proposer(s) after the Tender Solicitation process. This EOI does not commit WFP to consider any Proposal or award a contract.

The typical Scope of Works is attached herewith for reference. In addition, interested firms are required to complete the attached Bidder Capacity Questionnaire (BCQ) in order to establish their capacities to undertake such works. Relevant documents and certifications shall be also submitted as requested.
