Description
Objective of the prequalification process
The objective of the prequalification process is to prequalify suppliers able to supply a list of  laboratory equipment (including installation, training and maintenance), reagents, chemicals and consumables for diagnosing TB and maintaining biosafety (hereinafter referred to as “laboratory supplies”) evaluated and accepted by UNOPS/StopTB-GDF during the prequalification process.

Suppliers will be prequalified for a list of laboratory supplies accepted by UNOPS/StopTB-GDF and for a period of 3 years upon the date of notification of the results of the pre-prequalification process.

Prequalified suppliers are not permitted to change any product of the list of laboratory supplies accepted by UNOPS/StopTB-GDF during the prequalification validity period or only with the approval of UNOPS/StopTB-GDF.
As a subsequent step of this prequalification process, prequalified suppliers will be invited to participate to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the list of accepted laboratory supplies.

The prequalified suppliers will be invited to provide a price and a delivery lead time for each product of the list of accepted laboratory supplies and suppliers with the best value for money bids will be awarded a three-year long-term agreement (LTA). With good performance of the supplier under the LTA, the option to renew the LTA/s for two additional periods of one (1) year each may be offered under the same terms and conditions for a maximum of five (5) years.

Prequalified suppliers may also be contacted by UNOPS/StopTB-GDF for specific procurements to serve its clients.
