1. Background on UNON The United Nations Offices at Nairobi (UNON) comprises the following;  163 Acres/66 Ha  13,451 Ft./4.1 Km Perimeter  45 Buildings complex-wide  10 Acres of Office/Conference Space  Approx. 3000 staff members  Guest list ranging from 200 – 1000 daily and 5000 during conferences 2. Scope of Works (SOW) UNON intends to implement the second phase of its complex-wide, physical Security Controls and Network Infrastructure. This EOI is to solicit interest from experienced and qualified firms to design, supply and build, secure and redundant network infrastructure and perimeter security features, with full access control compliance, as required within the existing perimeter layer and multiple internal layers of protection that encompass the following:  High End Closed Circuit TV Cameras/Video Surveillance  Cards & Card Readers  Access Control Software  Turnstiles, Electric Doors & Locks with remote unlock functions  Alarm Monitoring  Hydraulic Vehicle/Traffic Control Barriers  Fault Tolerant Fiber Optic LAN/WAN  Blast Proof Lamination/Ballistic Glazing  Vehicle Identification/Access Control  Redundant File Servers, Storage and Workstations  Fire and Life Safety Systems and PA System  Centralized Security Control/Command Center move to new location(System Integration and Monitoring)  Associated civil works and rectification of disturbed finishes caused by installations The SOW also requires total integration of new installations into the existing systems and network within the campus. 3. Eligibility Bidders must provide evidence and formal certification that they have undertaken similar works as specified in the SOW above, along with implementation and support capabilities. Preference will be given to bidders who can demonstrate a proven track record for delivering similar services in East Africa.
