Provision of Catering Services to UNAMI Regional Headquarters in Erbil, Iraq

1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposals for the Provision of Catering Services to UNAMI Regional Headquarters in Erbil, Iraq as follows: 2.0 UNAMI requires a full cafeteria services operation to provide nutritious meals daily for its staff members at one dining facility at the UNAMI Regional HQ, Erbil, Iraq including the onsite preparation and line service of breakfast, lunch, dinner and a midnight meal seven days a week, 365 days a year, on a regular basis. The potential contractor shall also provide a basic snack/fruit, tea and coffee bar. The intended date of commencement of the contract will be on or about 11 December 2010. 3.0 UNAMI intends to award the contract if any, for one year, with an option of extension for an additional four years (one year at a time) at the discretion of UNAMI. 4.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNAMI Vendor Registration Form (New Vendors Only). To obtain this form, please contact UNAMI as above. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Work, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 6.0 MANDATORY PRE-QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: i. Capability to provide catering services; Quality Certification (HACCP or ISO 22000 Certified or equivalent international certification. Additional requirement for Iraq: Compliance with the Multi-National Forces security rules and regulations. ii. Capability to provide 10% of Contract price as a Performance Bond. iii. Capability to attend the Compulsory Site Visit Attendance in Erbil, Iraq. iv. Capability to provide all work permits, visa, security and transportation of staff within, in and out of Iraq. v. Business presence in Iraq or capability to establish business presence/partnership. vi. Duly completed UNAMI or UNPS/UNGM Vendor Registration Formalities. vii. Duly completed and signed Vendor Response Form. 7.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI''s received after the above deadline.
