Provision of IT Staffing Support Services for UN Umoja (Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP).

UMOJA, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the United Nations, will consolidate the management of all financial, human and physical resources (including for peacekeeping and field Missions) under a single global integrated information management system. In this regard, the UMOJA urgently requires the services of companies capable of providing personnel with specialized information and communications skills and services, with a focus on the maintenance of applications/infrastructure required to support Umoja, in particular project collaboration and communications tools. The tools will be designed, developed and deployed to support effective communications, project tream collaboration and training using Java, J2EE and database technologies in line with UN standards. These tools include: (1) websites and blogs through Web Content Management Systems (WCM), (2) Collaboration tools such as wikis, document repositories, knowledge bases (KB), shared calendars, etc., (3) Virtual communities with social networking capabilities, (4) Training and project tools and (5) Single sign-on functionality to provide seamless access to the different set of tools. including the design, development, configuration, implementation and ongoing support of complex information systems. The proposed duration of the resulting contract shall be three and a half (3.5) years, the duration of the Umoja initiative. The estimated required level of IT support is up to six persons: three (3) for Business Analysis and three (3) for Application Development. The actual level of ICT support will be determined in accordance with the UN Umoja requirements.
