Provision of IT services for Drupal setup and migration of UNISDR websites

The current United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) online ecosystem has been developed over the course of the past 10 years, as and when a requirement arose. It is a combination of different designs, technologies and architecture that has or had its purpose over time. Some systems are connected and some freestanding, and some of these systems have been developed for their specific requirement at that point in time. Due to this development approach and not necessarily knowing what the future will hold, the UNISDR web environment has become increasingly difficult to support, extend, manage and maintain. The purpose of this EOI is to identify potential suppliers that can set up a Drupal 8 base platform and migrate selected UNISDR websites. The main deliverable is a Drupal 8 base platform with migrated websites, with other legacy or dormant sites archived as static HTML. The full set of deliverables includes but is not limited to the Drupal base itself (source code, scripts, libraries, images, templates, modules and other software artifacts), any technical documentation (technical manuals), migration and testing of UNISDR websites (including content migration), and training of select UNISDR staff. Many of the final screens and interactions of some of the public facing websites have been/will be designed as part of a separate project phase not included in the scope of this EOI. The proposed Drupal Implementation is to roll out a Multi-domain Drupal platform, that will allow the roll out of all existing and future websites for UNISDR on one platform, with one code base, functional set and database.
