Provision of Offset Printing Machines and accessories.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to provide the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) with the latest knowledge of the market solutions related to the purchase of offset printing machines. The UNOG expects to follow this RFI with a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation to Tender Bids (ITB) for the purchase of an offset printing machine that will be technically capable of meeting the operational requirements of the Printing Section and to integrate with the platemaking and print-finishing production lines. The information gathered from this RFI will be used to determine the feasibility, scope, timeframe and resources required by UNOG. The major requirements, which must be demonstrated in the response to this RFI, are as follows: • Ability to offer a cost-effective solution tailored to UNOG Printing Section’s specific needs regarding full colour offset printing during an standard eight-hour working day. • Conforms to the following technical specifications: Machine configuration Number of printing units 4 Number of coating units 1 Coating unit with conventional drying system Ability to print 4-colours straight or 2 + 2 Semi-automatic plate change Cooled inking rollers Machine control station For technical verification of printed sheets.
