CONSTRUCTION OF ELEVATED POSTS IN ABYEI AREA

The Regional Procurement Office, Procurement Division (RPO/PD) on behalf of The United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) is planning to construct Elevated Guard Posts at various locations in Abyei Administrative Area (AAA), Sudan - South Sudan Borders from steel profiles which shall be illustrated in drawings and stipulated in the upcoming Solicitation documents. The recommended period for the implementation of this project is between the month of November 2018 and July 2019. However, it should be noted that fabrication and installation of metal parts can be carried out during rainy season once foundation works are completed. In the Abyei Area, rainy season starts in May with light showers and it reaches its peak with heavy rains in July and August. Locations: The contractor shall mobilize the required materials and personnel to construct 65 Elevated Guard Posts; Five (5) at each of the following UN Camps: - Farouk, Diffra, Goli, Um Balayel (Todach), Doukra (Rum Ajack), Noong, Highway, Tajalei, Marial Achak, Banton, Athony, and Agok. General Description: 1) The contractor shall provide detailed shop drawings for all concrete-masonry works, metal fabrications and electrical installations for approval; 2) The data specification sheet or samples for electrical accessories and materials shall be provided for approval; 3) All metal works include coating with 2 coats of anti-rust primer and 2-3 coats (or to full coverage) of oil paint.
