Description
BACKGROUND
UNICEF Is preparing a drilling programme on annual basis and in 2018, Ten (10) boreholes will be drilled and equipped to unserved population; schools; health centres; and communities to provide safe drinking water.
OBJECTIVE
To provide safe drinking water in; schools; health centres; and underserviced and cholera susceptible to villages in lakes state.
METHODOLOGY
- Terms of Reference for carrying out hydrogeological surveys have been prepared.
- Both the types of drilling rigs and drilling methods should be indicated according to the underlying geology and hydrogeology of the project areas.
- Guidelines on data collection have been clearly defined.
- Guidelines on supervision have been put in place.
- The contractor is required to attach the proposed implementation plan in the proposal with clear timeline to execute the contract.
- The Contractor will be reporting to WASH officer in charge of rural water supply in Juba and WASH specialist in Rumbek.
