Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy has a requirement to establish a Long term Contract for the supply and delivery of Heavy Duty Modular Flooring System. The Contract will have an initial duration of one (1) year, with the option to be extended for two (2) periods of one (1) year each, up to a maximum contract period of three (3) years. The Heavy Duty Modular Flooring System shall be designed in line with the following requirements: - It shall meet both pedestrian and heavy duty access requirements within United Nations compounds. - It will allow a modular, interlocking, interchangeable and expandable system, easy to be installed and removed. - It shall be durable for at least five (5) years after installation, and suitable for harsh environmental conditions and different climate zones, with several variations in terms of temperature, humidity, wind. Performance parameters: - Type of material: HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) with UV inhibitors added in its composition. - Acceptable weight loading range: 30.000 to 40.000 lbs. per sq/ft, static load, solid sub-surface. - Shape of a single Tile/Module: hexagonal (honeycomb shape). - Physical characteristics of each Tile/Module: • Size range 0.23 to 0.32 sq.m. • Width range 600 to 700 mm. • Thickness range 40 mm to 60mm. • Approximate weight 3.0 kg., tolerance ± 500 g. • The product shall comply with fire ratings UL 94 Flame Classification: HB (Underwriters Laboratory Yellow Card Number) and ASTM 2859 ̶ (Flammability of Finished Texture Floor Covering Materials). The Vendor shall design and provide the materials in compliance with international codes, rules, regulations, ordinances standards, including, but not limited to the following: • EUROCODE • ASTM • ISO • BS EN • DIN Delivery Terms: Delivery at Place – DAP UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy and Free Carrier – FCA nearest port of exit. Shipment shall be made using 20” ISO sea containers in protective packaging to prevent breakages during transportation. The gross weight of each container must not exceed 9 tons. The Contractor will provide a list of technical contacts for after-sale support for technical issues and remote assistance where required.
