New clarification added: Q 1: Can you provide us with pictures of each school furnitures required for this tender. UNOPS Reply: Specification is detailed enough for quotation purposes. However, please find attached "under document" tab, picture & layout for Librarian desk under LOT # 2, item # 29Q 2: Can we use USD Currency? UNOPS Reply: YesQ 3: kindly provide us with the Layouts and Pictures of the locations for each furnitutes. This will help us determine the current set up and match our offered goods. UNOPS Reply: Attached "under document" tab, a sample of location’s layoutQ4: We have realized the tender notice of Jordan, this tender exactly matches with our capabilities due to accomplishing very similar projects in the past years in Egypt, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. And we want to deal with this project but here are some points we demand clarifications from you;Firstly, the liquidated demages of %0,3 per day is really high, but it will be better if it is counted weekly.Secondly 1 month of delivery period is really short for the supply of such a huge project, if the delivery period is between 90-120 days it will be fine.As we realized mostly the UN's tenders have such shortage of time and high rate of liquidated demages, and this frightens the bidder whether to join the tender process or not.If you want the tenders to be more compatible, you would better propose more reasonable conditions.Lastly you parted all the supply quatites to 2-3 years, could you clairfy us in one year for the specific items how much and how many times would you require us to provide related items? Because having 1 month of delivery period forces us to have a warehouse and store them there until your demand arrives, so it needs extra costs. And could you give us the specific times in these 3 years that you will demand us to do the supply?UNOPS Reply: Yes it’s in Jordan, and according to LTA document, we required a local representative for international firm.- The liquidation damages ensure the delivery in time which is an important thing in this project.- Individual orders will be placed following reception a notification from Ministry of Education/USAID that certain group of the schools are handed over by the construction contractor, for example we will have first 27 expansion ready before the end of October, and the order for these schools will be placed right after the signature of the LTA and maximum of 4 weeks will be given for the production of the furniture because the remaining time will be needed for installation and this will take another 4 weeks , that’s why we requested a 10% storage material ready to start assembly. USAID the funding source insisting to have some storage facility to keep unassembled furniture in the Contractor’s premises. As we mentioned before the PO will be issued quarterly or following the completion of construction, the school numbers and locations will be determined ahead of time. We believe that suppliers with big capacity and with previous experience will be able to meet our needs. Please refer to "Delivery Schedule Table throughout 2017/2019" under " Section II: Schedule of Requirements" Q5: Pictures or diagrams regarding each item in the tender. UNOPS Reply: We don’t have a diagrams or Pictures for each item, or any itemQ6: The names of the schools and their locations.UNOPS Reply: Attached "under document" tab, please find names and locations of the first 27 school expansions. Q7: Amount of each item delivered to each location. UNOPS Reply: refer to Q6Q8: Is it possible to get drawings or photos of School furnitures required. Truly apptreciate if this can be provided. UNOPS Reply: Refer to Q5Q9: are you able to provide pictures or drawings of each items required in lots? UNOPS Reply: Attached "under document" tab, please find a sample of the layout for the first 27 schools.Q10: Is it possible to receive an extension on the tender due to the large quantity of items requested and the short time received to work on the tender? UNOPS Reply: Yes, it was postponed till 15th August 2017, please refer to ITB particular for more information.
