2017-39/EZL Provision of sectorial market intelligence for the Market Insider platform

Important: The purpose of this call for EOI is to identify appropriate suppliers who can potentially fulfil the requirements. The present call for EOI does not constitute an invitation to tender. Only suppliers deemed qualified by ITC will receive the invitation to tender.

Terms of Reference (summary):

The purpose of this project is to develop an online platform to continuously improve our intelligence tracking capabilities and provide SMEs/customers in developing countries with the clarity to make critical strategic analysis and make a better informed decision to improve their competitiveness through access to relevant product specific real time market price information.

Provision of market price and forecast in agricultural commodities delivered on a daily basis through an API (culinary spices and herbs, cut flowers and ornamental plants, dairy/livestock, edible nuts, essential oils and oleoresins, fish and seafood, food additives, fresh fruit and vegetables, grains and pulses, natural ingredients for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, oilseeds, oils and fats, agricultural soft commodities and processed fruit and vegetables). Additional agricultural sectors to the existing list provided by ITC will also be considered. Provision of news on major changes or events in agricultural sectors available through RSS.

ITC will only invite potential service providers that comply with at least the below listed minimum qualifications and experience criteria. These criteria will be re-evaluated at the tender stage to ensure compliance and suitability.

Pre-selection criteria that the applying companies should be able to fulfil:

1. Broad-based experience in the area of the selected sectors covering a diverse range of crops, products, origins and markets;
2. Proven professional experience in providing market insights and market data for these sectors;
3. Extensive contacts throughout the value chains of the above aforementioned product lists in the production and consumption markets;
4. Proven record of financial reliability/sustainability.
