United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) seeks expression of interest from suitably qualified companies for the provision of Building and Civil Works Maintenance Services for the UN Gigiri Complex, Nairobi. The 140 acre UN Gigiri complex currently accommodates over 3,500 staff in over 67,000 square meters of built space. Buildings and infrastructure at the UNON complex consists of various office buildings, conference, commercial, security and other public facilities as well as a substantial network of roads, carparks, pedestrian foot paths and other external works. UNON's facilities will require the services of a full service provider that has the capability to perform the required operational and maintenance services on 24/ 7 basis. The successful bidder will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision and other items necessary to successfully perform the services. In particular, the services may be categorized as follows: a) Basic or regular maintenance services: This entails regular maintenance of building works (sub and super structures,including roofs, floors, walls and finishes, ceilings, partiotions, joinery including doors, windows and other components of the built up areas), external works (water, sewerage and drainage systems, roads,car parks and footpaths) and cleaning of the solar panel at an agreed monthly fixed price; b) Ad-hoc or periodic maintenance services: From time to time, perform ad-hoc services which include minor adjustments/renovations in the buildings, office space fit out and partitioning, and additionally a generic bill of quantities will be issued that UNON will be utilising when there is a new requirement for minor construction works in UNON compound. These services will be paid for based on agreed contractual unit rates. The Contract resulting from the subsequent tender will be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for two additional consecutive one year periods (3+1+1).
