Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified firms for the provision of consultancy services in area of climate change adapation. Developing countries can access funding to address their climate change adaptation needs from several multilateral funds established under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC): The Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF) under the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Adaptation Fund, and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). For all three Funds, the development of a funding proposal typically consists of a Concept Note and a Full Proposal phase. UNEP works with 30+ developing countries to support them in accessing resources from these four climate change adaptation funding modalities under the UNFCCC. The contractor awarded the Systems Contract will be responsible for working with UNEP to develop the documentation (project concepts and full proposals) required to help countries access these funds. Key skills required include demonstrated experience in project development and management in the area of climate change adaptation, experience of developing such projects in developing and least developed countries and in working and collaborating with developing country governments. Fluency in English is required and competency in French and Portuguese is desirable. UNON intends to contract a qualified firm for the subject requirement for a period of two years (1+1) subject to satisfactory performance and related conditions. Interested vendors may forward their Expressions of Interest (EOI) along with the signed vendor forms to pdnairobi@unon.org. All EOI submissions should be sent via email, citing the EOI reference number and title in the subject line. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only Vendors which in UN's sole discrition are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
