i) The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites suitably qualified firms to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the Provision of Consultancy Services for the Fire Safety Upgrade Project at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). ii) The scope of this exercise is to select an engineering firm to identify any fire safety deficiencies, review firefighting strategies, recommend improvements and design fire remedies to bring the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) up to the British and Local Standards, whichever is more stringent with a special attention to the existing local (Kenyan) conditions. iii) The service shall include but not limited to assessment, a fire strategy, construction master plan, technical reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations, bills of quantities, tender/contract documentations and provision of construction administration services for works. iv) The Consultant shall be a highly qualified firm with very good knowledge of the Fire Safety British and Local Standards and have in-house capabilities and/or sub-consultants necessary to complete the project as such as, but not limited to, Fire Protection Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Structural Engineer, Architect and other relevant specialty disciplines. v) The complete detail of the requirement will be included in the tender document that will be issued subsequent to this EOI.
