The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations (ECLAC) is seeking for companies with local representation in Chile, with at least five (5) years of experience, with technical and financial capacity to participate in the bidding process for the provision of a Digital Duplication/Printing on Demand (POD) System for ECLAC Headquarters in Santiago, Chile, South America. 1. Purpose of the contract 1.1. ECLAC requires from the contractor the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of all necessary equipment/systems, including its software and hardware, in order to fulfill the need of an efficient, cost-effective, appropriate and integral graphic system for a digital duplication/printing-on-demand on site service. 1.2. The contract consists in the provision of a new (not-refurbished) state-of-the art digital duplication system in black/white and colour in compliance with industry standards, essential to the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC)’s printing demands. The service shall be in place for a period of two (2) consecutive years, with two possible additional periods of one (1) year each depending on the level of satisfaction. 1.3. The solution should have one main printing station with two (2) printing units for black & white and two (2) unit for colour. 1.4. The services required also include the provision of a minimum of one (1) competent, experienced and trained printing operator technician, with at least five (5) years experience in comprehensive maintenance options and alternate solutions in order to ensure UNECLAC’s business continuity.
