Description
The United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) hereby solicit Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified Contractors for the Provision of Coaching & Mentoring Training Services to UNMISS personnel either at UNMISS base in Bor, South Sudan. The resultant contract is expected to be for an initial period of one (1) year with an option to extend for an additional period of two (2) years of one (1) year each. Introduction: The objective of the Coaching and Mentoring training is to enable participants to develop the following competencies: a). Demonstrate application of key coaching skills including preparation, planning, empathetic listening and giving constructive feedback. b). Demonstrate effective delivery of coaching conversations in the workplace. c). Identify essential monitoring techniques. d). Demonstrate application of advanced coaching and mentoring techniques. Course Content: The Coaching and mentoring Training Course will focus on the following key areas (among others) which are closely related to the needs, goals and vision of UNMISS: a). Key coaching skills b). The Transformational Coaching Model c). Techniques of Effective Coaching d). Understanding the Coaching Culture e). Types of Coaching Conversations f). The Coaching Implementation Plan g). The Coaching Principles h). The Situational Coaching Model i). Essential Mentoring Techniques j). Categories of Mentoring and their merits and demerits k). The Mentoring Relationships Framework l). The Modelling Framework and its application Description of General requirements: 1. The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), through its Integrated Mission Training Centre (IMTC), searches for a certified vendor to conduct the Certified Coaching and Mentoring Course for its staff members selected from all pillars mission wide. 2. The course shall be provided for a maximum 25 participants in one batch. The course shall be conducted in class at UNMISS base in Bor. The duration shall be five (5) days. 3. The course shall be conducted in class and the target audience for this programme are Mission personnel in supervisory positions across the Mission to enable them to develop and nurture talent and improve results in their protégés. 4. The Service Provider must use participatory training methodologies and Adult Learning concepts in the delivery of the programme to adequately benefit the trainees. 5. The Service Provider shall be responsible for all travel, accommodation and subsistence allowance arrangements for its training consultants. 6. The Service Provider shall be responsible for providing all training materials required in the training including but not limited to manuals and hand-outs to participants as hard copies.
