Provision of Transcription Services – Acholi with English
Summary Scope of Work
Procurement of Transcription Services – Acholi with English
1. Overview
The Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) at the International Criminal Court (ICC) identifies and evaluates external resources on an ongoing basis in order to meet its need to transcribe recorded material.
For this reason, the OTP is seeking tenders for the provision of transcription services in connection with:
(a) audio intercepts in Acholi; and
(b) audio-recorded witness interviews in a combination of Acholi and English.
Upon receipt of tenders in response to this process, the OTP will conduct a timed test involving audio and/or video recordings to conduct a quality assessment.
2. Quality Requirements
Quality is primarily assessed on the basis of:
(a) completeness;
(b) faithfulness to the original material;
(c) linguistic accuracy and consistency;
(d) adherence to the transcription guidelines and template;
(e) any specific instructions issued in relation to the language(s) concerned.
For quality assurance, transcripts should be cross-checked by the vendor prior to return to ensure compliance with the above criteria. A contact person is available at the ICC for questions in regard to the guidelines and formatting.
