Description
The United Nations Stablization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) is looking for qualified air ambulance operators for the provision of Aero-Medical Evacuation / Air Ambulance Services and Medical Services. The intent of this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) is to encourage experienced, reputable aircraft operators to apply for registration as a UN vendor so that they can be invited to bid in such solicitations in future. The selected contractor is expected to provide 24 hours/7 days prompt aero-medical services within shortest possible response time for inbound flights from the operator’s base to the Mission area and for outbound flights from the Mission area to the approved medical facilities or designated out of mission medical evacuation points, as and when required. The services shall include patient care services for all categories of patients suffering from all nature of illness and injuries by medical flight crew registered and licensed with an accredited professional institution. The successful service provider is expected to have an aircraft equipped with crew, medical personnel and equipment which shall remain at the services of the Contractor and the company must be accredited by the carrier’s civil aviation authority authorizing the Contractor to render aeromedical evacuation services. The Contractor must possess a valid Air Operator Certificate authoring them to conduct the type of operations in the designated region and with all types of aircraft, which they intend to offer for United Nations contract. The selected contractor shall be responsible for obtaining air clearances to fly over and into all territories as and when required for the evacuation of all Medevac and Casevac cases. Companies with relevant experience and qualification interested in participating in the solicitation are invited to complete the Vendor Response Form of this Request for Expression of Interest and submit it via email address indicated above. The Expression of Interest must also include the following information: a). the base of aircarft in proximity of the UN mission(s) listed above. b). response time - being the number of hours calculated from the time of confirmation of the Medevac until the time the crew is ready to receive the patient on board. c). type of aircarft operated. In order to qualify for the contract award, the prospective service provider must be registered with the United Nations as aircarft operator.
