Terms of Reference (summary):

Trade Map is a web application on international trade flows. The International Trade Centre (ITC) wishes to provide Trade Map users with a new service. In addition to international trade data and company information already available in Trade Map, ITC would like to broadcast information on public tenders.

In this regard, ITC is looking for companies collecting information on public tenders and able to provide ITC with a summary as well as with the detail information for each tender.

The ITC objective is to provide Trade Map users based in developing countries with a free access to public tenders. Depending on the contractor’s cost, the coverage of countries that can access public tenders in Trade Map could be decreased or increased.

Mandatory requirements:

  1. The public tender information needs to be hosted on the contractor’s database and published on the Trade Map web site through an i‑frame. A module developed by the contractor will be called by Trade Map to retrieve the public tender.
  2. The contractor will have to provide a link between the public tenders and the Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature. The HS codes will allow the identification of public tenders.
  3. The contractor will provide ITC on a daily basis with the number of valid public tenders available in its database, by HS code and by country.
  4. The coverage of public tenders available in the contractor’s database has to be worldwide.

The contractor is invited to mention any additional service that he could propose to help the Trade Map user to answer to public tenders.
