The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA) is looking for a qualified and experienced firm for the design, supply and installation of a cable catch system at the United Nations House Facilities, Riad El-Solh Square in Beirut, Lebanon. Services shall include, but not limited to: - Demolition and repair of interior finishes. - Design, fabrication and installation of facade cable catch system with energy dissipating anchors (5050 sqm of facade in total with 3400 sqm glazing elements covered by a cable catch system). - Design and installation of cable catch system support brackets including installation of post-installed anchors into structural concrete. Use of ground penetrating radar or similar technology to locate existing obstructions before installing anchors. The contractor shall be specialized in that works and propose a system that responds to the structural requirements and load assumptions provided by UNESCWA's engineer consultant for this project. He therefore needs design (shop drawings) and engineering (structural) capacity as well. The installation requires simultaneous works with several teams at the same time. Night and shift work might be considered. The contractor therefore shall have sufficient capacity to carry out the works within a tight time schedule.
