The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced and registered companies to construct permanent and hardwall 200-person camps for its personnel in various regions of the Central African Republic (CAR). These locations include: 1. Bouar 2. Kaga Bandoro 3. Bria The vendor shall have qualified professional engineering staff with experience in providing Horizontal and Vertical Engineering/ Construction Services in difficult and hazardous conditions and locations. The envisaged works shall include, but shall not be limited to the following: - Site surveys and ground preparation - Construction of perimeter walls and/or installation of defense barriers, concertina wire, gates, barriers, watchtowers and other required security measures - Installation of essential services eg. waste water treatment, power generation /distribution, water storage facilities, recreational and welfare facilities etc. - Helipad construction - Preparation of roadways and foothpaths, gravel and paved - Construction of hardwall and/ or pre-fabricated facilities such as office space, staff residential accommodation, kitchen and dining, hospital /clinic, workshops, warehouse, bathroom facilities etc. The United Nations may provide some of the needed materials and requirements eg. prefabs and defense barriers. Contractors should be aware of the difficulty of securing and moving material around the country and of the general challenges of undertaking construction works within the austere CAR environment. Detailed scope of requirements with technical specifications, quantities required as well as expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN's Request for Proposals (RFP) which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this expression of interest (EOI). No further details can be made available prior to the issuance of the RFP.
