Description
1. The Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Yemen (hereinafter known as “OSESGY”) and the office of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (hereinafter known as “UNMHA”) intends to enter into a contractual agreement with two Internet Service Providers (ISPs) concurrently for the provision of Fiber Optic Internet Services to its Amman Office at Building 13, Khaled Abu Dalbouh Street – North Abdoun - Amman - Jordan; for an initial period of two (2) years with the option to extend the contract for three (3) additional years for a total of five (5) years (2+1+1+1), subject to an extension of the Mission mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the Contractor. 2. the objective is to establish concurrent contracts with two separate internet service providers for Fiber Optic Internet Services. The two ISPs must be completely independent with its own infrastructure including separate fiber backbone providers, different Points of Presence (PoPs), independent routing paths to international gateways, separate technical support teams, and different physical cable routes to the building to provide a completely redundant (local and international infrastructure, as well as two different support teams) and reliable high-speed internet connectivity between its Amman office and the public Internet. This redundancy will always ensure higher availability of the services, and in case one ISP connectivity fails, the second ISP connection will be able to take over and carry all the internet traffic. The Contractor will have to mobilize within a maximum period of one week from the effective date of the contract. 3. The ISP shall provide the following: 3.1 ISP's Fiber Access. 3.2 Bandwidth and Provision of Increase 3.3 Public IP Address Range and DNS Service 3.4 Point of Termination 4. This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. OSESGY/UNMHA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to an EOI does not automaticall guarantee that such compay will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued . INTERESTED VENDORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM LEVEL FOR REGISTRATION FOR THIS TENDER IN UNGM (www.ungm.org) IS BASIC LEVEL, COMPANIES WHICH ARE NOT FULLY REGISTERED IN UNGM MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE UPCOMING TENDER. Specific Requirements/Information MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Participating vendors will be required to submit upon receipt of solicitation documents the following minimum requirements and other documents which will be elaborated in the solicitation documents: 1. Proof of valid business registration to provide internet services. 2. The offered internet bandwidth for backup internet service connection is up to 75 Mbps with /28 range usable Public IP addresses. 3. The ISP shall have access to one fiber backbone (minimum) that will be used to fulfill the service requested in this contract 4. The proposal shall be based on providing dedicated and unrestricted internet services. 5. The proposal shall offer a single link (not multiple or aggregated links) containing the full bandwidth and link shall be installed, operated, and terminated to Gigabit Ethernet connection at the point of termination. 6. Technical support to OSESGY/UNMHA for fault rectification and/or other technical issues, concerns and queries twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week (24 x 7).
