Description
Within the framework of the ongoing comprehensive review of the United Nations common system compensation package, the secretariat of the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) is seeking the services of an external consultant to explore possible alternatives to the present hardship scheme, a system under which duty stations are classified in accordance with the conditions of work and life worldwide.
The consultant will be expected to 1) conduct research, analyze comparative advantages and disadvantages, and present information on hardship systems used by foreign civil services and other international organizations; and 2) develop and report on alternatives to the current hardship classification scheme.
