Description
1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the inspection, certification, maintenance and rigging services of various self standing and guyed wired telecommunications towers / structurers, at numerous UNFICYP island-wide locations. 2. UNFICYP currently has twenty-five towers ranging in height from 16 feet to 152 feet. Inspection and maintenance services include, but are not limited to, the inspection of tower structure and foundations, corrosion protection and repair, lighting systems maintenance, guy wire tension safety checks etc. Rigging services include the maintenance, installation, testing and commissioning of various telecommunications antennas and micowave links. In addition, the Contractor shall perform the certifications of structures and provide certification documentation, verifying that maintenance and rigging services meet or exceed regulatory requirements. 3. All works performed shall comply with local EU safety standards and international rigging protocols. 4. The resulting contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years, with an option to extend at UNFICYP's sole option, for a maximum of two (2) additional periods of up to one (1) year each (3+1+1 years). The Contract is anticipated to commence during the third quarter of 2025. 5. Interested vendors shall have five (5) years' prior experience with similar projects and technical personnel shall be trained and certified in working at heights and rescue. Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend a site visit, as part of the solicitation exercise. 6. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Formof this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above. Women-owned and disabililty-inclusive suppliers are strongly encouraged to express interest. 7. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expression of interest does not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. 9. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at www.ungm.org for Basic Level. Imporant Note: please be advised that this EOI corresponds to EOIUNFICYP22521 issued between 27 March 2024 to 17 April 2024. Companies that have responded under the aformentioned EOI are not required to submit their interest again.
