New clarification added: Bidder's Request:1. In Table 2 on page 7, Bacteria & virus removal is indicated to have a treatment/ discharge standard of 80 – 90%. The RFP also indicates that the post-treatment effluent is intended to be used for watering on-site vegetation, mop water, or to be released to local water sources if not needed and storage is full. Standard WHO, CDC, and biosafety guidance suggests that the BSL3 classification indicates that the lab is performing research with agents that can cause serious or potentially lethal disease through inhalation, and pose a significant potential risk to laboratory personnel and the community. This guidance also suggests that material and effluent coming out of BSL3 space should be sterilized to a minimum treatment/discharge standard of 99.9999% (6log reduction), although a 99.999999% (8log) reduction is the preferred standard.a. Please confirm the labs BSL classification and desired bacterial and viral removal level?UNOPS Response: The laboratory is a BSL3, the bacterial and viral removal level must be 99.99999999% (8log) reduction as a preferred standard. Bidder's Request:1. Additionally, most countries require Class A or equivalent water reuse standards (e.g., <10-30 CFU/100 mL for fecal coliforms) for applications such as mopping and irrigation. This table calls out a discharge level of <500 CFU/100mL. a. Please confirm that this is the desired discharge CFU level?UNOPS Response: Please maintain Class A or equivalent water to reuse standards <<10-30CFU/100mL for fecal coliforms.Bidder's Request:1. To achieve the minimum industry standard for BSL3 effluent decontamination, a thermal or chemical effluent decontamination system will be required. This system is not described or requested in the specification. a. Please confirm that submissions including this system will be considered, and whether submissions including only this EDS system will be considered?UNOPS Response:The proposed scheme is just a suggestion, the most important to remove are bacteria and viruses, therefore a thermal or chemical treatment will be highly recommended in the design. Please proceed.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please find below the clarifications in response to the inquiries received from interested bidders:Bidder's Request:Could you please help us confirm the length of the screw conveyor.?UNOPS Response:The length of the screw conveyor will be between 3-4m for your budget calculations. It can be modified, once you present the final design and it will fit in the land. But to have an estimation, 3-4m is enough.
