Description
The United Nations (UN) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the supply, delivery and recycling of Hewlett Packard (HP) Toner Cartridges. The products and services are to be used in support of UN political and peace-keeping missions throughout the world and may be used by different UN entities as the need arises.
The UN Department of Field Support has standardized on HP printers and has deplyed over 7000 units in its field operations. The range of models to procure is reviewed regularly. The UN's requirement consists original HP manufactured toner cartridges for all HP printers during its useful life. The UN intends to leave zero foot print on the ecological environment it operates in and therefore requires the cartridges to be recycled in an environmental friendly matter.
The intent of this EOI notice is to encourage experienced, reputable Operators of the subject System to express their interest (if already registered as UN vendor) or apply for registration as a UN vendor so that they can be considered for invitation to bid in such solicitations.
For manufacturers who are not registered as UN vendors, the registration process is in two parts:
Corporate/financial and technical/operational, both need to be completed. For information on the first part
and to download the corporate/financial application, find here (http://www.un.org/depts/ptd/register.htm).
For the technical/operational application, find here (http://www.un.org/depts/ptd/pdf/tech.pdf)
Please also note that this request does not constitute a solicitation. The Procurement Division reserves the right to change or cancel this request at any time. It should be noted that by submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee or obligate the UN to invite any particular company to participate in the subsequent bidding process. Only those prospective companies that are deemed qualified by UN upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission to the EOI will be invited to participate in any subsequent tender exercise. Kindly mail or fax your duly completed EOI form.
All documents for registration must be submitted in clear and legible print.
The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI.
It is anticipated that a systems contract for the delivery and recycling of HP toner cartridges will be established for an initial period of three (3) years, with option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
