Description
Please note that it is re-issue of previous EOIID38497 from January 2013 The United Nations Procurement Division will be requesting proposals for Transportable Air Traffic Control Systems (TATC) for its world-wide Peacekeeping Operations on behalf of the United Nations Department of Field Support. The United Nations Department of Field Support (DFS) provides logistics and information and communications technology support to United Nations Peacekeeping Missions throughout the world. DFS installs, operates and maintains various communications systems in these missions, which includes ground to air communications such as air traffic control systems. In most cases, the peacekeeping missions are located in post-conflict areas where local infrastructure are non-existent or partially destroyed hence the need for TATC that is rapid deployable by air and land to form a part of the logistical and communications support structure. In this connection, the UN is requesting expressions of interest from qualified firms with a minimum of 3 years experience in all of the phases of development, design, manufacture, operation, maintenance and repair of fully functional TATC systems and equipment It is anticipated that a systems contract for supply of this equipment will be established for an initial period of three (3) years, with option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
