Provision of Compensation Plan for IFAD Staff and Non-Staff

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome, Italy, hereby solicits proposals for the Provision of Compensation Plan including claim administration in respect of IFAD Fixed Term Staff, Short-Term Staff, Consultants and other Non-Staff categories as well as Visitors that may be eligible for compensation in the event of service-incurred illness, injury or death The required Compensation Plan is divided into three components, as summarised below: 1. Plan Component 1: The plan component 1 is to cover for compensation and other benefits in the event of service-related illness, injury or death. 1.a. Compensation for Staff on fixed term, continuing/indefinite contracts 1.b. Compensation for Staff on short-term contracts 2. Plan Component 2: The plan component 2 is to cover service-related injury, illness and death for non-staff. 2.a. Compensation for Consultants 2.b. Compensation for other Non-Staff: Interns, Fellows, SSA, PSA, UNV and Language service specialists. 3. Plan Component 3: Compensation for “Visitors” as hereby defined. The plan component 3 is to cover the liabilities of service-related death and permanent disability for Invited Guests including participants in seminars, meetings, forums and workshops, government representatives participating in loan negotiations, Delegates, Executive Board Members, Governors, Goodwill Ambassadors and Non-Staff other than individuals covered under Plan Component 2. Authority to review and make a determination on the validity of claims under this Plan is delegated to a Medical Committee on Compensation Claims (MCCC).
