Introduction

The United Nations Development Programme in South Africa, together with its partners, is seeking the services of an experienced service provider to implement an internship placement and work readiness programme for 219 electricians, who have recently graduated from different Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges, following an upskilling programme in renewable energy and green sector related programmes. The internship programme will be implemented in Mpumalanga Province and Limpopo Province for a period of 12 months

 

SCOPE OF WORK

The Service Provider will actively manage the implementation, oversight, reporting as well as monitoring of the project. They will work with a group of stakeholders including UNDP, EWSETA, GiZ, TVET colleges, employers, development partners, and the trainees themselves. 

 

Location

Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces.

Time Frame

Students must be placed for a maximum of 12 months.

Host organizations

Given the students training, the service provider shall ensure the students are exposed to areas aligned to, and relevant to their training. This can be in the public or private sector.

Services rendered

The service provider will manage the project end-to-end, from design, identifying and securing host employers, day-to-day management of the programme and reporting, as well as exiting the participants from the initiative.
