United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a Contract for Provision of Supply, Delivery and Installation of (7) Solar Pumping Systems including AC submersible pumps and solar power units to be integrated into an existing main pipeline of 12 inches diameters, for improving access to safe drinking water at (Al Duyom Al Junubya) neighborhoods in Port Sudan at Red Sea State, Sudan, as part of the reprogramed project Transition of Sustainable Peace and Social Cohesion in Sudan. 1. The work also includes the installation of 7 solar system units to power the water pumps with a product of 20 cubic meters per hour at a total head of 50m. The submersible pumps will have settings of 23m depth, the well casing diameter is 8 inches, well yield is 25 m3/h, required water per day 130 m3, complete task with all required piping connection including (trench excavation, wiring, valving accessories, fittings and backfilling). 2. Project Objective: The project objective is to achieve sustainable peace and Human settlement for Post conflict communities through providing basic services. UN Habitat Port Sudan office intends to provide solar pumping systems for above-mentioned neighborhoods to improve access to safe drinking water for both IDPs and host communities.
