Description
The main objective of this document is to provide the Contractor with adequate information to provide asphalt road/hardstand construction services in AMISOM camps in accordance to common engineering and facility management practices. This document (which will be provided to prequalified companies) will detail out all the requirements and specific needs for the required works. Based on these requirements, the Contractor shall provide services at indicated locations within secure AMISOM compounds/environment. AMISOM/UNSOA is organized into two Headquarters with the administrative headquarters at Nairobi, Kenya and the operational headquarters at Mogadishu, Somalia. The (4) main support hubs in Somalia are Mogadishu, Baidoa, Belet Weyne, and Kismayo. A few other support camps and facilities are planned to be established throughout Somalia. The objective of the SOR is to provide a robust, full-functioning support for AMISOM in Asphalt Road and Hardstand works in Somalia. The SOR (which shall be provided to prequalified compaies) will be to articulate the technical requirements, methodologies and key performance indicators (KPI) which will form the base of the contract. In this regard, it is envisaged that Task Orders will be issued for UN/AMISOM sites/premises within Mogadishu, and Baidoa-, Belet-Weyne- and Kismayo Sector Hubs in chronological order (one after another).
