New clarification added: Question:Can you please clarify the full description of Item 5, winter jacket, over trousers and inner thermal jacket. Can you provide details on the style, stitching requirements, buttons or zipper, velcro bands, measurements etc..If possible can you also provide pictures of the selected model/brands? The websites provided are either under construction or do not publicly list their specifications and model numbers. Can you please share a different webpage or a link to an acceptable similar product where this information is public.Answer:We have uploaded some pictures as requested.

In previous contracts, we have supplied overshoes from Thorogood, which possess identical characteristics and specifications to the NEOS brand. Given our history of successful supply and the approval of Thorogood products in past projects, we seek your confirmation on the acceptability of this alternative. This request is made in the spirit of ensuring product quality while potentially enhancing cost-effectiveness and availability.Item No. 3: Thermal Socks Specification Flexibility The specifications for thermal socks mentioned can be met by various manufacturers with whom we have established relationships. We request your feedback on the acceptance of equivalent products from these alternative sources, aiming to maintain the quality and specifications you require.Item No. 5: Winter Jacket – Multicam Pattern by Crye Precision The requirement for Multicam pattern winter jackets, as specified, is a patented design exclusive to Crye Precision. We confirm that we can source the original and authentic fabric directly from Crye Precision in the United States, ensuring full compliance with your specified requirements.Item No. 6: Wool Touque – Standard Product Offering The wool touque is a standard product available from multiple manufacturers. We are prepared to supply this item from reputable sources that meet or exceed the specified quality standards.In light of the above, we kindly request your confirmation on the acceptance of the proposed alternatives for Items No. 2 and 3, and your acknowledgment of our capability to fully meet the specifications for Items No. 5 and 6. New clarification added: Question:Line Item 7 : From reading the specifications provided, Mechanix techncical team request clarification "You have stated "ColdWork Fast Fit" - but the technical description relates to "Cold Work Original" - As they are two separate gloves we request you please confirm which is required.We await your urgent instructions Concerning item 7, Coldwork Gloves, Kindly note that there is a contradiction between the requested model and it specifications, as UNOPS is requesting Gloves with Model Coldwork Fastfit Mechanix while the specifications refers to another model which is ColdWork Original® Mechanix which comes with 40g 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation. New clarification added: Question:Regarding Item 3, thermal socks, the UYN Man Defender High Socks are available in three colors: black, military, and M450 exclusively. Therefore, kindly inform us of the preferred color choice approved by UNOPS among the aforementioned options.Answer:The color tan is the same as M450 

New clarification added: Question:If the associated colour is not available will BLACK or other colour be acceptable.As some items are non specific to a MODEL other than SOURCE can alterternative SOURCES be used.Answer:The colors and alternatives are mentioned in the tender documents .The same specifications must be applied Question:Overshoes Please advise if PVC overshoes are acceptable Answer:The same specifications must be appliedQuestion:Kindly be aware that certain brands are exclusively represented by dealerships in Lebanon, and these dealerships are exclusively authorized to bid on behalf of those brands.In order to uphold transparency, please verify whether offering an alternative brand would result in automatic disqualification for the bidder.If this condition applies, we regret to inform you that we will be unable to proceed with the bidding process.Answer:The tender mentioned that the brands are selected for standardization purposes and in the tender particular it is mentioned that alternatives offers are not accepted, in addition that The evaluation will be based on (bidders must offer 100% of the items specified in the schedule of requirements and quantities specified in the tender . In case none of the bidders submitted compliant items UNOPS has the right to evaluate offers based on partial items. Evaluation will be done per item in this case, so if none of the bidders can apply to submit a complaint offer , then the evaluation will be on item based.
