Description
1. GENERAL
The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement to obtain the services of a Logistics and Freight Forwarding company for customs clearance, overland transportation of United Nations and Contingent owned equipment, including handling and packaging of weapons and Ammunition.
2. INTRODUCTION
The following outlines the extent of the Statement of Work (SOW) and lists the tasks which the Contractor may be requested to provide on an “as required” basis for the duration of the contract which will be for an initial period of one year - with an option of extension for another year.
a. The Contactor will not perform any work(s) or provide services(s) without receiving specific instructions in writing from UNAMI Movement Control Section (MOVCON).
b. All work(s) and or service(s) will be activated through the issuance of a duly completed and authorized “Service Task Order” (STO).
c. The Contractor will be required to perform work(s) and /or provide services(s) within an Integrated Logistics Concept, which implies that the Contractor may perform all or part of a Task, while other local Contractors, UNAMI and/or others authorized and designated by UNAMI, may perform other part(s)
d. All Freight Forwarding, transportation and customs clearance services must be
in compliance with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) INCOTERMS 2010; effective 01 Jan 2011 (endorsed by the UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), 45th Session
