Description
The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) is looking for qualified air ambulance operators to provide support to the United Nations Support Mission in Lybia (UNSMIL) for the provision of Aero-Medical Evacuation / Air Ambulance Services and Medical Services for UNSMIL, UN Agencies and Programme staff in Lybia. The selected contractor is expected to provide 24 hours/7 days prompt aero-medical services from Tripoli and Benghazi, and remote areas of Lybia to Malta or other designated out of mission medical evacuation points and approved medical facilities, as and when required. The services shall include patient care services for all categories of patients suffering from all nature of illness and injuries by medical flight crew registered and licensed with an accredited professional institution. The successful service provider will be expected to have an aircraft equipped with crew, medical personnel and equipment which shall remain at the services of the Contractor and the company must be accredited by the carrier’s civil aviation authority authorizing the Contractor to render aeromedical evacuation services. The Contractor must possess a valid Air Operator Certificate authoring them to conduct the type of operations in the designated region and with all types of aircraft, which they intend to offer for United Nations contract. The aircraft must base in proximity of the mission area and must be able to launch services within the best response time to retrieve the patient from both Tripoli and Benghazi. The selected contractor shall be responsible for obtaining air clearances to fly over and into all territories as and when required for the evacuation of all Medevac and Casevac cases. Companies with relevant experience and qualification interested in participating in the planned solicitation are invited to complete the Vendor Response Form of this Expression of Interest (EOI) and submit it via email address indicated above. In order to qualify for the contract award, the prospective service provider must be registered with the United Nations as Air Operator. The specific instruction and additional information on registration is indicated below.
